Continuing education is a process we feel benefits both the customer and Marlen. We provide free, on-site training at the time of start-up to all of our customers. Later, as the customer's personnel changes or updates to the machines are made, we provide additional training on-site for a minimal fee.
Marlen also has a Training School at its corporate office. A variety of three-day classes are held throughout the year to help educate our customers on the assembly, operation, trouble shooting, disassembly, and clean-up of our equipment. These classes are held free of charge.

REQUIREMENTS No more than two people per customer per school. School begins at 8:30 a.m. each morning and ends approximately 4:30 p.m. each day.
Marlen must be notified in writing or by phone at least 30 days prior to requested school dates. Please contact Brad Wilsey at 913/888-3333, or by email at brad.willsey@marlen.com.
No more than 10 people will be allowed at any one school. Reservations will be made on a first come, first serve basis.
Schools are free of charge. Customers are responsible for all expenses; i.e., travel, hotel, transportation and meals. Students are on their own after school hours. Companies are responsible for their student’s conduct and safety while attending school.
CONTENTS OF SCHOOL Troubleshooting - Hydraulic System and proper pump set-up. This is technical training only for the pumps listed. Training of all accesory equipment, such as portioners, formers, etc., may require an extended day. Please notify us in advance if you are interested in such. If you are interested in proper equipment set-up or operations training, this should be done in your plant. Please call the Marlen service department for scheduling.
OUTSIDE TRAINING Classes for all other equipment, such as extruders, sizers, etc., must be specially scheduled with Brad Willsey and will take place at the customer’s facility. These classes are subject to a charge of $560.00 per week day or $1,120.00 per day weekends, plus expenses portal to portal. This charge is subject to change.
Room reservations: Marlen will provide you with a list of hotels (with address & phone) near Marlen Research. It is your responsibility to book the rooms. Make sure you call within three weeks of arrival as hotels in this area get booked for a number of events very quickly throughout the year. (For a room discount at the Holiday Inn, tell them you are eligible for the Marlen Corporate Rate. For a room discount at the Radisson, give them Marlen's Corporate ID # of WHP 53404.) School begins at 8:30 a.m. each morning and ends approximately 4:30 p.m. each day.
All classes outside of the normal schedule, or for Model 629/670s and Spanish spoken classes, will need to be specially scheduled with Brad Wilsey. These classes are done only as required with a charge of $560.00 per person.
